From the warehouse floor to helping lead Work Hard Dress Right in Newark.
Every morning in Newark, before the first customer walks through the doors of Work Hard Dress Right, Erica is already there— checking inventory, setting up the displays of workwear and boots, and preparing for the rush of customers. Her journey is an employee growth and leadership story shaped by experience, trust, and a deep commitment to her team and community.
Leadership is grounded in understanding the work behind the work.
Building the Foundation Behind the Scenes
Erica’s journey with Feury Image Group began almost 10 years ago, in the company’s warehouse receiving department. She spent her days receiving product and handling UPS shipments. She credits that time with arriving exactly when she needed it, and she built a foundation learning processes, responsibility, and the value of teamwork.
Growing Through Customer Service and Team Support
A few years ago, Erica moved into Customer Service, joining Sherhonda’s team. There, she learned how to enter orders, manage reports, support live chats, and handle customer calls. Under Sherhonda’s supportive leadership, Erica grew into her new role and quickly excelled. Around the same time, Erica also began supporting additional customer-related responsibilities, including order entry, inventory, and reporting—work she continues to support today.

From safety gear to everyday workwear essentials, Erica helps customers get ready for the job—every day.
Stepping Into Leadership at Work Hard Dress Right
Most recently, Erica was given a new challenge: managing the opening of the new Work Hard Dress Right retail store in Newark. It was a major project, demanding long hours and a ceaseless list of tasks to complete. At times, she battled with her self-doubt. But, she said, “I received so much support and encouragement from everyone around me, I was able to push that aside.” She considers that a turning point in her career.
Her experience across the warehouse, customer service, and operational projects prepared her for where she is today—helping run the Work Hard Dress Right store in Newark. She works closely with her team to keep the store organized, well-stocked, and welcoming. The customers are diverse—nurses, construction professionals, and walk-ins from all across Essex County—and while some days are challenging, Erica and her team focus on making sure every customer leaves with a smile.
“The store has helped me grow as a person and as a leader,” Erica says.
Leading with Trust, Communication, and Care
As a manager, Erica believes leadership begins with setting an example. She brings her best every day to encourage her team to do the same, with clear goals in mind: growing sales, earning new contracts, building strong customer relationships, and staying connected to the community. A key part of that leadership is on display when Erica uses her ability to communicate in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to better serve Newark’s diverse customer base—helping customers feel understood, comfortable, and well cared for from the moment they arrive.
She continually draws inspiration from her son. “He is everything for me,” Erica said. “When I feel like giving up on something, he always reminds me to keep going—at work and in life.”
A Real Employee Growth and Leadership Story in Action
Erica’s experience is a powerful employee growth and leadership story, showing what’s possible when opportunity, support, and determination come together. She is a proud “family member” of the Feury Image Group: “I just want to thank the entire Feury Image Group team for being like a family to me, and for everything I’ve learned and will continue to learn. We are all in this together.”
